"I thought it was too late. Pooja showed me that a mother's calm can rebuild a teenager's trust."

The shift

From teenage walls to rebuilt trust

By the time my daughter turned fifteen, I felt like I had lost her. She was always on her phone, always shut in her room, and every conversation ended in an argument. I told myself that this was just what teenagers were like — distant, moody, unreachable.

Pooja helped me see that the distance was not a wall my daughter had built alone. It was years of correction, comparison, and criticism that had slowly pushed her away. The first step was the hardest: I stopped trying to fix her and started trying to understand her. I learned to listen without defending, to apologize without expecting her to accept it immediately, and to be present without needing to teach a lesson.

It wasn't overnight. But slowly, she started leaving her door open. She started telling me about her day. And one evening, she said, "Mumma, you feel different now." That was the moment I knew I had my daughter back.
