My daughter had started lying. Small lies at first, then bigger ones. I took it personally. I felt like she didn't respect me, didn't trust me, and was turning into someone I didn't know. Our home became a place of interrogation and punishment.

Pooja helped me ask a different question: "What is my child trying to protect herself from?" That question changed everything.
